System installed in Inreal pastatų priežiūra – a step to smart technologies
On the 21st
of May 2012 Inreal pastatų Priežiūra (Inreal Building
Maintenance)installed electricity, gas, water,
and heat meter readingsystem MeterApp
in one of its maintained buildings – business centre at Palangos Str. 4. This system, controlled by mobile internet, will ensure accurate and
fast data collection and processing.
“The practice
of the majority of companies, providing building maintenance and administration
services, in taking meter readings is complicated: one employee writes readings
on the paper, the other enters them into the program. Naturally, human failures
are inevitable”, – said Rolandas Rutėnas, the Director of Inreal pastatų priežiūra.
According to him, when MeterApp
system is installed, it is enough to put the phone to a special electronic
sticker, where identification information of the meter is stored by NFC (Near
Field Communication) technology, in this way data entry field of required meter
is identified and meter readings are entered into the phone, from which they
will be transferred to the reporting program. “Of course, it is not a remote
reading system, but the intermediate version, which will not only expedite the
process, but will also ensure avoidance of mistakes, what is important to us
and our customers”, – said R. Rutėnas.
MeterApp solution belongs to the
company Mokus. “The system has been
adjusted in order to meet the needs of Inreal pastatų priežiūra
and its customers”, – said Žydrūnas Andruška, the Director of Mokus. According to him, one of the
advantages of MeterApp is that the
system has integrated mechanism to avoid “human failures” – MeterApp analyses input data and, if the
later significantly differs from the prior ones, it asks about error possible.
When MeterApp was tested in the business
centre at Palangos Street 4, the system is planned to be installed in all
buildings administered by Inreal pastatų priežiūra. The
customers of the company will not have to pay for this investment.
